Good mushroom culture

I ordered some Lion's Mane Culture from Liquid Fungi and it arrived pretty quick, took about 4 days to get to me. Everything looked good and healthy. I inoculated my grain spawn with it right away and things are colonizing nicely. It was a smooth process, no fuss. Happy with what I got.

Fast shipping, quality product

Got my Blue Oyster Culture and it was well-packaged. Shipped fast. Already growing well on my substrate. No complaints, will buy again.

Agar plates and tools were good

I bought some Agar Plates and a few Inoculation Loops from Liquid Fungi recently. The ordering process was straightforward, I just added to cart and checked out. Shipping took about a week to reach me in California, which was decent. Everything was packed securely, no broken plates, which is always a relief with agar. The quality of the plates seemed good, sterile and ready to use. I've already transferred some mycelium to them and they're colonizing fine. Their customer support wasn't needed this time, but the overall experience was positive. It's a reliable place for mycology supplies.

what's the deal with returns if a culture arrives dead or something? like, if it's contaminated.

P Phil F. 2 months ago

They guarantee live arrival. If it's bad, just hit them up, they'll sort you out.

B Brett 2 months ago

Had a bad agar plate once, contacted them and they sent a replacement right away. Super easy process, just snap a pic.

do they ever do free shipping without a code? like, for a certain order amount?

A Anna 2 months ago

Yeah, if you spend over a hundred bucks, free shipping kicks in automatically. No code needed.

M Megan 2 months ago

I think it's usually $100 for free shipping. Good way to save a few bucks if you're stocking up.

can you use their stuff for bigger commercial grows, or is it more for hobbyists?

P Paula Hughes 3 months ago

Plenty of people scale up with their cultures. They're high quality and viable for commercial scale, just make sure your sterile tek is on point.

J James 3 months ago

I know a few small farms that get their cultures from LF. They seem to hold up well for larger operations, especially their grain spawn.

any current promo codes floating around for like, liquid cultures or something?

A Anna Carter 2 months ago

Check their newsletter signup, usually get a 10-15% off code for your first order there.

N Neil Okafor 2 months ago

They often have holiday sales, especially around spring or Black Friday. Keep an eye out for those, you can usually snag some good deals on bundles.

can you use more than one discount code on an order? got a first-timer one and maybe a free shipping code.

R Rosa Kaur 3 months ago

Nah, pretty sure it's one code per order. You usually just pick the best one.

R Rachel 3 months ago

From my experience, they only let you punch in one coupon at checkout. Free shipping often kicks in automatically if your order's big enough though, so you might still get that.

looking at a few different vendors for some grain spawn. how do Liquid Fungi's grain bags compare to like, North Spore or Midwest Grow Kits?

G Gwen 2 months ago

Liquid Fungi's grain spawn is good, never had contamination from them. North Spore is also solid, maybe a bit pricier.

A Andre 2 months ago

I've used both Liquid Fungi and Midwest Grow Kits. LF bags seem to colonize a bit faster for me, but both are decent. LF has more variety though, especially with the exotic cultures.

hey, anyone know if Liquid Fungi is legit? seems almost too good with the variety they have.

A Andre Romero 3 months ago

Yeah, totally legit. I've ordered from them a few times, cultures always arrive healthy.

J James 3 months ago

They're a family-owned deal, based in the US. Products are solid, never had an issue with sterility or anything.

thinking of getting some lion's mane liquid culture. how long does shipping usually take to like, California?

S Sam L. 2 months ago

I'm in SoCal, usually takes about 5-7 business days for me. Not super fast but reasonable.

P Priya 2 months ago

Mine hit Kentucky in about 4 days last time. It depends on where you are, but they ship out pretty quick.
